The gist: Simple Authenticator is a free TOTP/HOTP authenticator provided “as is.” You are responsible for protecting your device, PIN, and any passphrases. Optional cloud backup is end-to-end encrypted with a passphrase only you know.
By using Simple Authenticator (“the app”), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
The app helps you generate two-factor authentication codes (TOTP/HOTP), scan QR codes, import from Google Authenticator, optionally lock the app, and optionally back up encrypted account data after signing in. It is not a password manager, breach monitor, or general passkey vault for third-party websites.

If you lose device access and have no backup/export, your OTP secrets may be unrecoverable. We cannot regenerate provider secrets for you.
Sign-in is optional. Cloud backup encrypts data on-device with your sync passphrase before upload. We cannot reset or recover a forgotten sync passphrase. You are responsible for choosing a strong passphrase and storing it safely.
The free app may display advertisements. Ad content is provided by third parties and is not an endorsement of any product or service.
The app is provided “as is,” without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of data loss. You use the app at your own risk.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developers shall not be liable for any claim, damages, or other liability arising from or in connection with the software, including but not limited to data loss, inability to access third-party accounts, unauthorized account access, or financial loss.
We may update, modify, or discontinue the app or related cloud features at any time. These terms survive termination of use where applicable.

These terms are governed by the laws of Indonesia. Disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of Jakarta, unless mandatory consumer protections in your jurisdiction require otherwise.
